Progressive Pipeline

About Progressive Pipeline

Progressive Pipeline places underrepresented candidates in paid roles at social change groups across the country. We give our fellows our full support while with us by providing training, mentorship, and connections to help springboard your career in progressive work. We don’t have any previous experience requirements for our fellows other than a drive for social justice.

We partner with social change groups that share our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice -- from finance to data analytics to media communications to consulting and so much more. We’ve worked with more than 80 organizations to build diverse and effective teams including SEIU, Run for Something, and the Working Families Party. Most of our placements are remote, and our host organizations pay their staff a living wage, with Progressive Pipeline fellows earning at least $15-$20/hr and entry-level staff receiving $45,000-$75,000 per year plus benefits.

We have a community of over 300 alumni, 76% are people of color and 73% are women or non-binary. We continue to provide ongoing career coaching, support, and networking to our alumni to ensure long-term, sustainable success in progressive work.

“I loved the supportive atmosphere and opportunities to learn/network with other interns. My internship allowed me to learn from different members of the organizations I was partnered with, which gave me great insight into the day-to-day operations. ”
