Copy-editing Digital Production Intern - Leonardo Audio/Nor'easter Publishing

For those interested in careers in digital publishing, small presses, E-books and audiobooks. 

• Working with the E-book Director, you will gain valuable experience copy-editing and proofing/QC'ing incoming titles destined for both e-book and audiobook release.
• You'll assist with our aesthetic design and cover art of our digital releases.
• You will communicate across company departments including marketing and design, PR, branding and social media, web design, and audiobook production.

Ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with previous copy-editing interest and experience, at the collegiate level.

Applicant has some experience in digital publishing file formats, Kindle Create, Amazon's web platform, as well as working with file conversions between docx, pdf, and other e-pub formats. This role requires proofreading and file QA, macro-edit and copy-edit processes.

10 hrs/week. Mostly unpaid/volunteer for experience. 

At completion of the internship, you'll receive a $100 stipend.

Frequently, following a successful internship and mutual interest, interns become part-time  employees at $15-20/hr.

Our studio/office is in Central Square, Cambridge, MA. However, this role can be remote or hybrid. 

Required company gathering is a 1-hour all-staff Zoom meeting on Wednesdays at 8pm ET.
