Marketing Intern

Are you a creative marketing student looking for a hands-on internship experience? Kodiak Building Partners is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team for the summer. As a Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including social post creation, video editing, SEO and keyword research, content marketing creation, brand guidelines, website updates, market research, brand management, reporting and analytics, marketing strategies, and other exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging social media posts for Kodiak brands.
• Edit video clips for marketing campaigns.
• Capture and curate photography for local brand initiatives.
• Conduct SEO and keyword research for content optimization.
• Research and develop blog outlines on industry topics.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of brand guidelines.
• Execute backend updates on company websites.
• Participate in market research activities and brand management.
• Develop reporting and analytics tools and templates for social media and marketing campaigns.
• Contribute to the development of marketing strategy templates.
• Execute the capstone project, taking responsibility for developing a marketing strategy, brand guidelines, and a comprehensive marketing campaign. This will include presenting these items to the Kodiak Marketing Team in a mock pitch meeting.
• Work on various other marketing projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field at a college or university.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of marketing principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. 
• Experience with design platforms (Canva, Photoshop, Adobe, etc.) is a plus.
• Photography and videography experience is a plus. 
• Hands-on social media management is a plus.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic, passion, and commitment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to real projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
