Summer Event Production Intern

Pinnacle Productions is seeking candidates for two Summer Interns to assist with and learn technical aspects of live events. The ideal term would go from the beginning of May to the end of August, based on availability.

Tasks will include:
-Assisting with load in/setups/load outs of events
-Setting up and troubleshooting live audio, lighting, and video systems
-Assisting with preparation and loading of equipment prior to events
-Assisting with de-prepping and unloading of equipment after events
-Occasionally running audio, video, or lighting systems during live events
-Some small event management/planning tasks for major events
-Installation of equipment and cable in permanent audio and video installations

Minimum Requirements:
-Ability to manage a non-regular, events-based schedule
-Ability to comfortably lift 50 pounds
-Reliable transportation to and from job sites
-Good interpersonal and communication skills

An Ideal candidate will:
-Possess a level of interest in entertainment production - audio, lighting, or video
-Have a small amount of experience in any of audio/video/lighting production
-Live close to (within 40 miles of) the Des Moines Metro area

Terms:
-May 2nd 2025 - August 22nd 2025 (dates may be adjusted based on applicant's schedule)
-Average of 25-40 hours per week, based on number and quantity of events
-Warehouse hours are primarily daytime business hours early in the week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), and event hours are primarily longer days at the ends of the weeks (Fridays and Saturdays)

-Interns are expected to work every weekend with an event, with exceptions for illness and personal life conflicts

-$5,500 flat base pay, with overtime at $25/hour after 10 hours on a single day or after 40 hours per week  (lump sum, or installments based on applicant preference)
